Awesome awesome - best Tapes we eat in town. Staff super friendly and try the meat Balls, and the Crab:-)
It’s a solid Taverna. Service was a little odd - but very very friendly staff. I was on the fence getting the big steak (Txuleta) because of price vs can they deliver? And I feel they did. We were stuffed. The cider was a little disappointing- but it’s probably just not our type of cider. I’d go back.
If I could give 6 stars then I would. We had the chuleton which was cooked perfectly. The sauce with the chicken was superb. Our waiter looked after us very well. The fish dishes were very generous and well cooked. It was the best restaurant we found in San Sebastian this week.
This place was so nice, we went back twice! We were traveling with a baby in a stroller, so important to note that the dinner reservations are downstairs, but everyone was accommodating and helpful! The food was incredible, get the steak even if they tell you it's too much food. And get the cheesecake! You won't regret it. We had the same server two nights in a row and he was really wonderful and fun. Definitely recommend!
The best fish we had in all of our trip (Asturias and País Vasco), by far; Grilled monkfish (rape in Spanish) just with a garlic-lemon sauce and some potatoes. It was absolutely delicious! Plus some pintxos, pulpo and gildas (those are amazing all around Basque Country) and local cider (sidra). Wine was perfect and the service, excellent. ¡Gracias a José y todo el staff!!
The restaurant serves top quality food and it is certainly worth trying the menu of the day, which at €17.90 for a 3 course meal and an alcoholic drink is very good value. The tapas bar upstairs serves high quality pinchos in a relaxed atmosphere. I'm back 6 years later and is still food from the Gods.
Great lunchtime stop to enjoy very tasty pintxos and croquetas with some local Basque wine. Popular with locals and tourists alike. Good value too.
